Downsize you jig size. If you are using a 1/16oz jig go to a 1/32oz and so on. When the water cools off I have better success on smaller jigs.
What is working this time of the year? I'm getting 5 to 10 per trip, but having to fish super slow! Has to cooler water that came in fast slowed things down? Has dropped 10 degrees in the last few weeks.

Give them something different. Try spoons. I use microspoons tipped with a minnow and i'm hammering the slabs. Got over 40 keepers in the last 2 days.
I'm drifting and trolling over brush and they're slammin the spoons.
Do you have any pics of your spoons, I've never tried them? Could you share the a, b, c's with us? Color, weight, type, etc...Originally Posted by chaunc

Crappieday from the Georgia board makes them. He makes good products, I use some of his jig heads to tie jigs with.Originally Posted by TapOut64
I agree check out crappieday's spoons! They are great spoons! Awesome quality, awesome action and awesome catch rate with them!
I'm using microspoons from crappieday. Right now i'm using the 1/32 oz beadheads in chartreuse and black. Also the candy green/ blk bead. Use a loop knot to tie it on. Put a splitshot a foot above it. Tip it with a minnow and drift it over brush. No wind? Slow troll with your electric motor. I'm using a 9' wally marshall rod with 8 pound test line. The heavy line lets me get my spoon back most times when i hang up. Here's another pic of a crappie with the spoon still in its mouth.
