    Default Lake Hartwell dry ?


    Man,all my holes had squirrels in them today,sugar creek 2 ft deep,Eastonolee creek only 8 ft deep,,water temp was 65 ,,caught a 10 pound striper on a green curly tail and a 9 ft whuppin stick,,that was the highlight of this latest excursion...she was returned to the depths to fight again...call me snakebit sam I guess...ss:rolleyes:

    I bet that striper was a lot of fun on that whuppin stick. I have some of those myself and when you get a decent fish on them, you can have some fun.

    I like them long things ,great for crappie,and that striper took about 200 yds of line ,had to crank the big motor before I was spooled..The kid that was with me got to crank her in most of the way cause I gave him the rod after she got on ,he'd never caught a striper before today..he's hooked...ss:D
