Where DO you come up with this stuff .... :D

From what I've Googled up ... it would appear that a UB1280 is a 8 amp hour battery, sealed lead acid type, that weighs around 5lbs. To me, that would signify it as being a battery for some 12V device, that didn't have a lot of amp draw (like a depth finder) ... and the device needed to be isolated from other battery/device connections (to stop electrical interference).

At 8 amp hours capacity ... it ain't gonna run a trolling motor for long :p

Sounds like crappiepappy is right, guess those are the wheelchair batteries that some people are using to power 997 cause they are geting too much interference from other stuff hooked to same boat batt or when they go to start biggie motor they shutdown FF cause of all draw on batt. Side note been running 997 all summer without that batt, just my oversize boat batt..:D

We use a lot of those type batteries here at work. they are used in our UPS sysyems, uninterruptable power source, they power ac convertors which runs our machine computers when we have power loss. they cost about $30 bucks each. work great for dept finders and gps. don't ask how i know please!
