BigBee, thats a good haul. Congrats on the catch.
They didn't lower yall's limits like they did ours. We got cut down to 15, everything west of Oak Grove. I think the reason was because after the hurricanes, the speck fishing was unbelievable and we had lots of out of staters fishing them along with all the locals, and I think they were afraid it would hurt the population.
Down in Big Lake, I know someone that is limiting every trip (he usually goes about 3 times a week). They are longline trolling for them with artificial and doing real well.

Johnny, I think another reason they lowered the limit was b/c we had guides that would go out in the AM and catch a limit and then go back in the PM and catch another limit, which is illegal. I have no problem with the new limit b/c I rarely catch that many in 1 trip.

I agree with yall, the limits don't bother me a bit, cause I don't really fish for them.....lol... I like to bottom fish for the big ones, But if I decided to try for them, I would be ok with that limit anyways.

Its the same for Black Drum. Our specks have a 12" minimum and you caint have more than two exceeding 25 inches total length
