Those don't look too bad. I think I may try and make me one or two of those myself.

This is what I did since I do a lot of bank fishing too.

I also made some for the boat welding 3 inch square plates to the top of 6 inch C Clamps.

You'd have to PM "papasage" and ask him about them. I just did a search on the site, and came up with the picture ... because I remembered seeing them. They were not made by me.

I use some very similar to those on my boat. I used 8" pvc. Went my local water dept. and they give me a piece of split water main that they were going to throw away. I have made a couple dozen. Get your tools together and you can make all the rod holders you want in a day and the best part is that it won't cost you a dime. CF

I use 4" on mine and cut the back hole with a hole saw. Make for a nicer job. I use 1/4 square stock, welded to a piece of 1 1/4X 1/8 flat stock screwed to the boat floor. Then use 1/2in. square tube with nut welded to the top to mount the pvc. save this cut out to put on the top side of the pvc for a spacer. You then weld 2 nuts on the 1/2 tube close to the floor and put blots in them to attach to the base pieces. My 1/2 stock come straight up, then a piece to bring it closer to the seat and then another piece to bring it to the same height of me seat. No reaching.
