Hey Keith when does the ice usually get on up there?I love to ice fish and have thought about a little winter trip up your way to give it a try.We might get enough ice around here every couple of years or so is all.

We should be ice fishing inside of 30 day.Normally the day after thanksgiving the smaller lakes will have 4" which is plenty to stand on and not hear any cracking.
By Dec 10th you can get on most all lakes with a solid 6" which is enough for a 4wheeler or snomobile to drive on.
I've got 3 weeks of deer hunting in front of me then comes ice fishing.
I just love drillin slabs through the ice.
    You'd be welcome anytime.
I'll guide you right to them and make sure you are comfy /cozy in a heated portable.
I even have extra rigs all set to go with an extra flasher so .......can someone say fish on????

May take ya up on that Kieth.I ain't never sat in a ice shack with a heater fishing. We just ride the 4-wheelers out and start drillin and fishin.Put your back to the wind and it ain't bad.Start catchin slabs and ya forget all about the cold.
Funny story last year was the first year in many we got to go.I was drillin holes next to a tree with gas augar and hit a tree limb under the water.Like to ripped my arm off Augar stuck wide open and went to spinning in circles Dang thing ran for 15 min before it finally died.My buddy and i were luaghing so hard eggin one another to try and grab it to stop it.Ahhhhh the fun of ice fishin.:D

It don't work like that. YOU pick a SINGLE picture, that you think would look good as a calendar photo, then EMAIL the jpeg to Dru
He will get a third party group, that will pick out the photos to put on the calendar.

    Default Slabbing Giant Crappies

Jigging with a lobybaits.om "stoni" plastic bait and stealth jig over brush piles can produce some humungus slabs. Last season we had numerous crappies from 14.5"-16.25".......here is a favorite for the calendar.
