I'm sorry if this has already been posted and I'm making a re-post but I want to know what line you guys prefer when casting for crappie?
I'm interested in 6# in particular. Thanks again for your help

I am not too scientific; I like Stren low vis green for everything I do. I have tried some of that super duper limp stuff that is supposed to allow me to cast to Poe Dunk county. Any twist at all and it will wrap around the rod tip about 40 times. It seems to be brittle too. No stretch witch makes it break easily.

Maxima, Trilene XL, Bass Pro Excel, Spiderwire Super Mono -- all good lines.
Mr crappie 6# and 4# are good ,tough as nails, not expensive in bulk, so you can afford to change your line out when you should. Trilene Xl is good, I'm trying Sigma out right now. It can depend on if you throw a bobber and minnow a lot, I do. Or throw tiny jigs. For the money I like Mr crappie in 4 #.
Triline XL casts great and is strong enough to handle big fish.
I bought some #4 Mr. Crappie Hi vis, You get 3100 yds for only 6.99 at Bass Pro's online store. Works good for me like others say it is tough as nails. Tried breaking some in my hand to try and see if it was strong, well I had to stop cause I would have cut myself before it broke.
I agree, good price and good line!Originally Posted by NJcrappie
