Musta went on strike. Must not pay good here. Maybe too much heat.

    I feel his pain.

I hope not. Its very refreshing to have someone from Humminbird willing to answer our questions and deal with problems and issues.

Humminbird has a real asset in him and I for one appreciate it.

His presence is the main reason I chose Humminbird for my newest sonar/gps combo purchase. I don't see anyone from Garmin or Lowrance here putting up with us and its nice to know that we can ask him for advice on our equipment and, if we have problems with it, with whom we should speak to at Humminbird.

Three cheers for the Humminbird guys!

Oh, and three cheers for the folks Like Cane Pole that are willing to push the boundaries of traditional marine electronics and share their adventures with the perch jerkers amoung us (like me). I was sorely tempted to try out his HP/Garmin hybrid GPS system.

When the budget recovers, I think I might still try it out.

p.s. Geez, I sound like a commercial, but its the truth. I really do appreciate their participation here.

I've read Greg's posts on a variety of boards over the years. His advice and help is the reason that I'd even consider H'Bird products now. A few years back, I tried one of their products and was totally unimpressed, but I've also been completely unimpressed with Lowrance's almost complete lack of customer support these days.

He must be busy somewhere else - I talked to him some via pm awhile
back, and he indicated he was "flame-proof" :p

Thumbs up Still here when I get the chance!

I'm not gone but I sure have been busy. It's hard to believe in this day and age that some employers still require you to work all day long...

Just a few things to remember so no one will be too disappointed when they post or pm me and I don't reply back very quickly:
    - This is not a part of my job description. I am required to perform other duties at Humminbird and these do not always allow me time to help out.
    - I try to visit about 10 posting boards and don;t always get around to all of them on a daily basis.
    - the best way to contact me is through e-mail ( [email protected] ) since I can dart to my office, pull up e-mail and peck out a response in between other things or during breaks.

And yes, we do need guys like Cane Pole to help keep us moving forwards and pushing the envelope!
