LIFE IS TO SHORT TO FISH WITH A DEAD MINNER AND I WISH I WAS SOMEWHERE HOOKING LIP.
I usually shoot for 10" but sometimes I will take 9" home if bigger ones aren't biting. 20-25 will make for a nice meal.
10" is the legal size here in Arkansas
Stinkies Daddy
is the legal size limit of the lake I'm fishing :p (I expect the F&W Dept to know what's best for each individual lake, in whatever state I'm in)
If there is no size limit ... I'll cull the best 10 (if I get that many :p )
I don't always keep what I catch, regardless of size.
... cp
I will keep anything from 9-13" anything bigger then 14" I will release as there aren't that many in the lakes I fish that big. My average size is probably 7inches. I usually get 1 or 2 9" and take those home and just keep getting them until I have enough for a meal.
I don't keep anything under 10'' but that's the size limit whear I fish most of the time.
12" and over anything smaller just don't have a good taste. i will cull the 12"s if i got some 14-15" i don't like to hog fish 4 good fish will make me & the wife a good mess
No size limit on the fish up here but depending on the time of year and size of the fish that are biting, i'll keep about a dozen of the smaller ones if i want to eat some fresh fish. Fat 8's and 9's are okay sometimes, but i normally catch them bigger. If you're going to eat them, and they're big enough to fillet, enjoy the meal.
