Posted this on the Alabama Forum also.

To all the good people here. Thanks for all the information. I'm finally starting to figure out my lake. Did not get to fish any this summer due to work. But I got started back fishing about three weekends ago. First weekend I got 8 keepers all around 10". Secound weekend I got 20 in the 10" to 13" range. Today I got to fish about 2-1/2 hours got 6 real good fish one 15-1/2" and five 12" to 14" fish. The wind got up real bad here for me, I just can't do it when fighting the wind.
But if not for the great information here that I've been reading this summer, I don't think I would be doing this good. Thanks again.
Oh yea I was fishing 12 to 16 foot in 20 to 25 foot of water. About 50/50 on minnows and jigs.

    Thanks all.
    Alan

Just fish when/where/however is fun for you. You'll enjoy yourself more, and get better at "catchin", if you don't stress yourself over getting a limit each time out.

    We're all "wantabe's" ... in a sense - - We all wantabe better at catchin !! :D

I've said uh, I mean, typed it before. Crappie fishermen and women are some of the best people on earth. I can't tell you how much these folks have helped me also.

I have yet to see on any forum anyone as knowledgeable as Pappy is on this site. Keep on answering every tough question Pappy. People on this board respect you.
