    Default finder screen protector

Does anybody use or know about using one of these on your fishfinder screen to protect it & supposed to cut down on sun glare. Thinking -wondering if I should get one for my 997 birdie. Thanks..

I haven't used one of these on a fish finder, but I have used them on cell phones and on PDAs quite a bit.

I like them. They don't reduce the visibility enough to be noticeable and they do protect from scratches quite well.

One thing I would be concerned about is water getting between the screen and the film and leaving deposits.

I think if they are removed and cleaned often, they should be fine.

    YMMV,
