I don't know where they are getting the idea that this is chartreuse - thats yellow in my book. They need to do better on the colors for the minnow grub.

I'm particularly interested to see if anyone has sprung for these expensive new berkley alive minnows. I'm very interested in trying some of these, but man o man they must think they are made of gold. At first I thought they made a mistake this time. They have finally lost their minds charging that much for plastics, but I know some of the gys that run the online tackle store FishUSA in Erie PA, and they said they are selling well. Personally I think that after the initial interest abates that they will have a tough time selling them for that much. At the prices they are at those baits are 50 cents plus each for the 3 inchers, and nearly $1 each for the 4 inchers. Yikes!

I have used the power bait spikes. They work alright. If you use real spikes before you use these they will work better.

And i've tried the minnow. Didn't know they were hard plastics. Tried one on the perch. Not even a hit. Took them back and got my $20 refunded.

I've tried the maggots, they smell real bad, YES, didn't have much luck with them for ice fishing. But I love the earthworm kind. :D They eat it up all year long, open or ice fishing.

I've tried the maggots. Caught a few perch on them. That's about it.
