I will take soft plastics over those where I fish on most any day. They sure look pretty though.

I don't think there is such a think as the perfect jig. I have never had any complaints and mine hold up very well as I get good feed back, but can;t tell you anything about these others.

I think the perfect jig is one that really works on that day. If one has the right color they will hook the crappie in the back of their mouth and not so much in the lips where it's easy to tare out.

I agree Skip! Some days ya just have the touch! However, do you have a favorite color/style that you consider your most dependable bait?

Yes I do and actually I would have to list several that I know will work very well on this lake every year. For sure spring and even have one guy that only will use one color. Silver/Copenhagen Blue/White I can tell people I know they will catch crappie on. Also though I am just as confident in Chart/Same Blue/Chart and then a group of several that over and over do very well. Once this lake clears a bit usually in April or Late March is the best for that first one, but also a kind of new one is my Silver/Silver/Blue is also killer. Before these is the Chart/Blue/Chart I think is best early. I have lots that use regular jigs with these colors, but in spring I prefer a Roadrunner for long lining.
