    Will the 997SI work with the MinnKota Universal Sonar 2 transducer?

    Default Yes, but 2D sonar only

    Yes it will but you will only get the conventional 2D sonar and not the Side Imaging. there is a "Universal Sonar 2" menu selection for the Transducer Select menu that you should use when the 997 is connected to it.
