What do ya'll think it will do to the spawn? Its supposed to get down into the low 30's a couple of nights here in Valdosta, probably a little lower for those further north. You think it will delay the spawn or move any shallow fish a little deeper for a while? Looks like lows back into the 50's and highs in the 60's by this weekend.

Fronts are a part of the spawn every year. The crappie will just jump back to the staging depths. When the water temp starts back up they will move up with it. These fronts IMO are a good thing. It keeps fishing easier for longer. They will stay in the creek mouths and channels concentrated together. Then we know they are going to spawn soon as the water warms back up. This gives them a little more feeding time to fatten up before they spawn.

Alright...I think my crappie knowledge is starting to develop. Thats exactly what I was thinking. I just wanted to see what the experts said. So this Saturday I'm going to start a little deeper, then go to the trees if necessary.
