    Default We caught this one on a 1.5" crappie jig!


    We faught this 33" 17 lb flathead for 10 minutes this morning on a trip with a b&m ultralight with 6 lb test and a 1.5" YUM curl tail. It was released unharmed!

    I sure it put up a fight and was a lot of fun. I've caught cats on plastic worms, jigs, and crank baits. None that big though.

    Looks like some good eating I would have released it a little at a time in lake crisco hehe

    I don't do bottom feeders! My customers didn't like catfish either. It would of fed them for a week though!

    bottom feeders? A flattie is the PEAR OF THE RIVER dude. That meat there is better than ANY other fresh water fish in my eyes. THEY ONLY EAT LIVE FISH. Hence the eyes on top of their head. They arn't like a Blue or any other cat out there. He tastes UM UM GOOD!!!!

    i once got a 6 1/2 pd bass on a ultralight with 4 pd XL and a 1/32 jig. I never thought i would land it put i did and i was also released.
    can't think of a signature- this will have too do

    Nich catch Jason, it goes to show that you are a versitle guide that knows how to keep things poppin. Your customers seemed very happy but the boy looked like he was wore out.
