    Is it OK to mix marine grease with all-purpose grease?

    some grease is better than no grease---i use all purpose on everything i have from boat to lawnmower----Knappy

    Read on it. Some Grease will not mix well.

    You don't even want to mix two greases of the same kind unless you know for sure they are compatible. Grease is made of oil and soap, and different greases use different soap formulations. Mixing two together can result in something completely different than either of the two original greases. Either a runny soup that won't stay in place or a chunk of dough that won't go down in the bearings.
