    Default Kwikdrop Pedestal......results.

I finally got this thing installed. It works. This thing is well built.

I had small problem making it work (as seen on TV). Seems like my boatholes were too well oiled. Everytime I tried to yank the seat up, the rig would come out of the boathole.

Good thing I had open access to the boatholes. Jeff White put a pin (nail) in the shaft that goes in the boathole after the shaft was put in the boathole. Now, when you yank on the seat, the pin stops the shaft from coming out of the boathole. The shaft came predrilled, but no directions. Just pictures of Bill Dance.

I think I can put the seat up and down without cutting my finger off. Time will tell.

Thanks to everyone for the tip about the Kwikdrop pedestal.

    Default Kwik Drop

I have two of them on my boat, one fore and one aft. Very handy, along with very well made. I highly recommend them.

Did you have to pin your seats?

My pedestal base has the internal thread, so the retaining pin is not required for my application.

    Default Kwik Drop

Opening and closing this pedestal as shown in the video takes quite a bit of practice. I prefer not to use this technique. Once again, I highly recommend the product. Kwik Drop is a family operated business, located in Missouri, with very helpful staff.

Tom thanks for field testing product. I think it has to be well worth it for anyone that leaves there seats in the base while running. I know I take mine out of the right side anytime. I will be running. As it sure blocks your view.

PS note to self. Go by Toms and get his Kwikdrop Pedestal's. Then on over to weezers and get his seat's. LOL Now if I buy 2 of these and then 2 seats like weezers. ............ I sure hope i hit the lottery.
