    Default Someone help me

I have got to stop buying materials. This has got out of hand and I just ordered more for fly tying of all things.

My wife may shoot me, I can't keep buying more than I sell, LOL!

Talking Same old...same old...problem with me too.

    Skip,

I have the same problem. I buy much more than I sell too. On my budget I list the "overspend" amount as entertainment expenses. I justify it to my wife as I am entertaining myself by jying jigs and staying out of her hair. She counters with the fact she wants a new hairdo weekly.:D :D

I try and save some by buying white marabou and dying it to fit customer's needs. I have ordered more jig heads today from Barlows and will begin tying more on jigheads instead of bead chain eyes. Pictures will be posted by Thursday.

Either way, I am like you. I should have stock in Barlows....Netcraft....Cabelas.....Bass Pro Shop...and of course Walmart.:D :D

Make me a deal on some 1/32 painted, no collar jig heads and I'll take 200 off your hands.

I go by a tackle shop and cant help but stop and look around. Pretty soon I have a couple handfuls of tackle. I look at what I have and think, shoot I don't need all this stuff I have too much already. I go put most or all of it back. I go home and attend a tackle junkie anonymous meeting. "I name is GRIZZ, and I am a fishing tackle junkie. I haven't wasted money on fishing tackle for 1 day....." You know the drill.
Good things come to those who bait.

yeah I have so much bass fishing tackle it crazy and have not even bought any in several years. Still have a load of unopened lures & bags and bags of soft plastics and such.

This tying thing is just as bad and all my purchases is over the phone so I can't go put it back and I am always looking at fly patterns and or jigs and thinking I could make something different with that. Then there are all the colors. There is just no end to it. I would bet that I have over $5,000 in materials at a min. The bad part is every month I seem to be ordering a couple more hundred bucks worth of stuff. Also I am not counting the some 3000 jig heads I have if not more.

Hi, my name is Jeff and I'm a tackleholic :D
I've been telling the guys at one of the stores we go eat breakfast at
they should be ashamed of themselves for having so many things to tempt
me - But they are un-shameable, re-stock when they know I'm coming.
I can't go in there without picking up at least a couple of Bandits, and
now I've started in on the CB sliders and Southern Pro hot grubs :o
Soooo many purty colors - I MUST HAVE THEM ALL!

I went through that with bass fishing for years and now I am having the same attacks with feathers and other pretty stuff to make jigs and flies. Flies are the worst as there is an endless amount of items made out of all kinds of things.

I can't believe it is happening, but it is. I thought I got it under control with the jigs last year, but then the fly tying stuff started and now I am run a muck again.

I have the same problem bud, lol. Every time I run in Bass Pro I wind up buying a few new colors of powder paint, some more hooks, ect. I need to get with it and get my site finished though. It's a lot of work setting it up but once it is I'll be good.
