    Default Heating jig heads?

What do you use to head your jig heads for powder painting? I been using a butane lighter which suits my purposes but it get hard on the thumb after a while.

I use a alcohol burner and it's clean and easy. Not too hot like a torch and not too small like a lighter. I paid like $15 for mine, but I think if you look they can be had for a good deal cheaper.

    Also the fuel is cheap!

I will add that I wouldn't use anything else after using it.

I have been thinking about getting one of those for fly tying. There are some patterns that use a heat gun to shape the head and body of the fly. Maybe it can be double duty?

I do like the alcohol burner though.

A heat gun from Golfsmith or a butane torch. I usually use the heat gun because it is less sensitive to distance from the source and time in the source.

A small propane torch. Just flash it through the flame and it's ready to dip in the powder paint.

BIC lighter works for me, but I like the idea of the alcohol burner.

I gave up on that when the second one melted the lead, LOL! I just don't like that much heat.
