If you are talkin bout what i think you are, the lil clear beads keep the hooks from rusting

I think it's a type of desiccant to absorb moisture instead of letting it get to the hooks and let them rust.........doing the same thing as the little packet in some pill bottles.
If I Ain't Crappie Fishin', I'm Thinkin' About It............
I would have never thought of the rust issue. It sounds like it could protect the knot too. I bought some hooks today, so I thought I would ask. I've never thought much about it.
How do you keep 1000 crappie fishermen in suspense?
This is Jeopardy, right?
I wager 986,224,268,197 and the answer is, What Is Crappie Fishing?
If the beads have a hole in them they are probably to protect the knots. If no hole they should be to keep the hooks from rusting.
I have wondered it myself but decided if I posted the question here I would get too many Smart A&*& answers......... looks like I was right.
