    Unhappy Humminbird's E/M responce

I talked to HB cs on 8/16 and they told me to E/M pictures of my transom and they would help me find a location. I just got a response today. Not very good.. I love the unit but I don’t make excuses for poor service. The good , the bad and the ugly

    Ouch!
Crip I appologize for the delay.
I would bet that your message got forwarded to someone else who has more transducer mounting experience and somehow got dropped ordelayed.

If you or anyone else has install questions try direct e-mailing Eddie Hendrick or I and we will try for a quicker response. For side imaging transducer installations, I would visit the Yahoo side imaging group site:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sideimaging/
as someone else may have already mounted an Si transducer on the same boat make/model and posted pictures there.

Yes, I’m up and running. This E/M was sent out when I was having trouble getting a good mounting location. Looked on yahoo and any place I could. After three tries I got things right. And Greg, I know things happen. But when I tell how much I like your unit I also have to tell of problems. Glad to see you on this page. It’s good to have someone to help work through problems

Really sorry for your problems. As Greg mentioned, the Yahoo site has a tremendous amount of pictures that other customers have posted of their installations. Please bear in mind that this is still pretty new technology and that every boat is different. Our CSR staff are some of the most well trained folks I've worked with "but they are learning too". I work with them daily and help review pictures of transoms to help them help you with the best "possible" location. Withount installing it ourselves there is no %100 guarenteed installation recommendation. By the way Greg, how long have I known you?
    It's Kendrick not Hendrick............LOL
Anyway, Please feel free to contact me at Humminbird when you get frustrated. We're all here to help you.
