60psi unless you are hauling the empty trailer. Then a reduction might be needed to reduce bouncing.
My tires for my trailer are 4.80-8 and say "Max load 590lbs at 60psi cold". What pressure should I maintain the tires at?

Unlike car tires, you'll sling the rubber off them like recaps if you only run 30 lbs (been there, done that too ). Pump 'em up to 60 psi.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Yep, 60psi.

Under inflated tire will get overheated and come apart. Add under inflation and overweight and problems get worse, ask Firestone/Ford.
Yep, 60psi is good.
