Default Percy Priest bank fishing for youngster?

Looking for suggestions on a couple of good access areas to take my 4 year old (well, me too!!!), hopefully near some attractors. Getting things in line for the next few weeks. I've never fished any at PP, grew up in Bristol.

Haven't caught crappie in years so that's a target, but it's all good. We like to catch cats at a nearby pond.

    Thanks, John

    John,
I don't know where you live exactly but in the Smyrna area there is an excellent area with individual piers, brush piles, and stake beds at the Stewart's Creek boat ramp area. Easy access and well travelled.
Another area would be Long Hunter State Park in the Antioch/Lavergne area. There is a small lake associated with Percy Priest there that is set up for the handicapped with piers, walkways, and walking trails.
    Hope this helps.

    Kbconv,
Stewart Creek access area is great with a paved trail and docks with a lot of cover in the immediate bay. Get there now with the water down and record the structure so that you will be able to locate it when the water rises to summer pool level. This lake fluctuates about 10 feet between winter and summer pool.
Long Hunter State park is great for bank fishing also with a 3 mile paved trail around couchville lake. Wednesdays are free access days, any other day costs $3.00 per vehicle. Try the bryants grove area of LHSP and fish the bluff area opposite of the swimming area.

That bluff at Bryants Grove was the first place I thought of when I read this thread.
