Can't remember the size of the *.bmp files that the 797c2 Si unit makes when you perform a screen snapshot but I would guess that a 1GB card would allow you to save 500+ images on it (disclaimer: I'm going by memory here as my files are all at work - and I'm not). More importantly to me would be the speed of the memory card and therefore how quickly the unit will be able to save the image. The SanDisk Extreme III SD cards are the fastest that I have heard of so far. We have a SD card database going on the Yahoo Side Imaging web site where many Side Imaging unit owners have posted which size, brand and make of memory card thay have used and how they have worked. Could be worth looking into or you could e-mail me and I could copy and paste the information back to you.
My 797 pics average 900kb per picture. One Gig should hold about 1000 snapshots.Originally Posted by creekslick
I don't know how much memory is required for record, I ain't tried it yet. Bigger is better when it comes to recording stuff. Get at least 2Gig while u getting.
