yes indeed! been using it to scout new waters for a couple years - and Cane Pole even imports his GPS marks so he can share them.
A very handy tool.
For those of you that have not downloaded Google Earth do so now....
You can get Lat & Lon on any location on any lake anywhere.....
I launch at Oak Cove on Richland Chambers...(Texas)
Go to Google Earth..... click Fly to.... in the box put this Lat & Lon...
32.0043083, -96.21556944
Click Begin Search.......
Takes you right to it on an aerial photo......zoom in......
Attached is a photo that I saved of Oak Cove.....
There are too many ways to use this to mention.....
You can view a lake that you have never been to and print it out.....
If a buddie goes there and he takes his GPS and marks some good spots you can type it in and Google Earth will take you there....
Plenty cool..........
Try it...... you will like it............

I like Google Earth, but I have come to like Maps Live better with its birds eye view where it is available with its higher resolution and color.
Good things come to those who bait.
Been using it myself, very handy program. Ya gotta love the eye in the sky!:D
Maps Live is pretty good too Grizz. Thanks for sharing.
I like the imaging better in Maps Live better, but like the lat/long readout in google earth. Works better fir plotting places to fish
How long does it take for the 3-D to load? I have cable internet and finally gave up on it.
