Check and tell me if your rope comes thru the swivel on top(the way mine is) or thru with swivel on bottom....Mine came thru on the bottom but you can see how my rope is worn..I changed it to come thru on top..Thanks:

Mine doesn't have the swivel like yours.

but I noticed my rope is frayed and is going to break near the attachment point. I will just have to re-tie it on there.

mine is through the top just like yours, but i have problems pulling the rope to set mine in the water, most of the time i have to pull on the silver bars on the side of the mount to get it to let go. but pulling it up out of the water is no problem.

Thanks, I thought when mine came thru the bottom that it was wrong...I have the same problem getting it to release...I press down on the bracket with my foot. This takes the pressure off the release pins...

My rope comes through the top and I also need to put a little downward pressure on the bracket to get it to release from the stowed position.

Heres a small tip that may work for you. Check your mounting bolts. You may find some tighter than others causing the tm frame to twist, causing the latch pin to stick. Loosen the bolts and tighten all equally. Worked for mine.
