In need of computer help

I did have a icon on the bottom bar that would vary the size of the display on the screen. I could choose 100% or 125% or 150% or 200% to display print so my old eyes could read what was on the web sites.

Now that icon is gone so I can't adjust the size of the print on the websites.

I am sure this is a very simple fix for a computer guru but I'm at a loss at figuring out how to get that icon back on to adjust the size of print on the screen. I'm probably going get blinder trying to read the small print.

Does your mouse have a scroll wheel? If so, hold down the ctrl key and roll the scroll wheel to adjust the size.

I am totally stupid when it comes to that sort of thing. I do know that you can adjust some thing on the monitor with those little +,- and ^ buttons. If the bar is still there and hidden by the screen size you might try this. Or if you are not sure get some 6-7 year old kid to fix it. I have done that before and I am not ashamed to admit it.

Not sure what Operating System that you have, but if you have XP or Win 98, go to control panel, click on display, then click on appearance. At the bottom of the appearance window you will see Font Size. There should be 3 sizes, small, normal & large. Click whichever you want then click apply then OK. Should do it.

Thanks the scroll wheel works. Sure would like to get it back the way it was. These darned computers can sure be agravating.
