Eagle is made by lowrance. I don't think you want a duel frequency transducer. it will only give you a 12 degree angle instead of 20

A 480 or even a 320 will work for you. Don't know about the df but I don't think you need it.

The dual frequency is for deeper water like in most salt water fishing. It can be helpful in certain fresh water situations, but the 200 transducer is the better all-around transducer in most crappie fishing applications. Just my $.02.

A dual frequency trans. is much better! It gives you a 20 degree cone and a 60 degree cone. The single (20degree) only shows a 2 foot radius in 10 fooot of water. The 60 degre will cover more area when seachin for fish. In this price range I would reccomend a 565 from humminbird. It has a 640x320 pixel display and a dual beam trans.. Though if using the rig for putting out structure I might consider a unit with a gps also.

I know you are gonna get lots of opinions but i had the hummingbird 565 and the eagle 480 for a while and i ended up sticking with the 480 and getting rid of the hb.Much clearer picture on the eagle.
