    IBNFSHN is right, that is the easist way to learn how and to get the basic tools you need. Learn your basics and don't invest to much into it until you see if you enjoy it or not.

    A kit should have the bare minimum you need for a pretty good price. If you want to keep tying, you'll probably want to upgrade tools eventually. Good places to buy materials from are www.jannsnetcraft.com and www.barlowstackle.com Hope this helps.

    I have seen so many requests about and for information on HOW TO CRAPPIE FISH video, or HOW TO TIE A FLY fly videos, that I went and compiled a list of links for you.

    Per Ed Moes - Site Owner and Administrator:
    "Crappie.com is my website -These are my rules, and I insist on Crappie.com being a FAMILY oriented -Teach a person how to fish- web site, that any age fisherperson can visit. "

    Here are some neat ideas.

    Let me know what you think.

    I LOVE to fish, I CARE about others, and I SHARE what limited knowledge I have.

    I have a question for all of you jig tying pros;
    Janns Netcraft has something called mylar tubing which is used to form the bodies on minnow imitations.Now how exactly is this used? If someone has a picture of one of there jigs using this material post if you can.

    Most of that type material is actually for fly tying as is most of the item jig tiers use. About the only think we use that is not for flies is the jig heads and even the smaller ones they use too.

    Here is one of Ship's links that shows some flies being tied with mylar tubing.
