    Default Disolved Oxygen

Checked on web-site for local lake (Green River Lake, KY) It listed lake level, etc. etc. and listed Disolved Oxygen level at 7.9mg/L. I assume this is at the surface. what are good numbers? Can you tell anything about the disolved oxygen at different levels based on this number, if it is in fact the surface reading?
    Thanks

Any reading above 2mg/L is survivable. And, yes, if the reading is 7.9mg/L ... that's most likely the surface reading. If you have a chart showing the dissolved oxygen content at various depths, you can pinpoint the depth of the thermocline. Other than that, I don't know what else you could determine from the readings (other than they will most likely decrease with depth).
What did you want to know, exactly ? What's the website ? I'll look at it, and see if I can help you determine what, if anything, this information can tell you.
