Default 997 Scroll Speed and Sensitivity

What scroll speeds and sensitivity setting have you found most effective for the 997SI?

I haven't found much time to play with it yet. I did play with the sonar and ran it at 100%. It was on Lanier and it a deep clear lake. Was looking for the Thermo cline. Did not find it.

Sensitivity: I have always been a 60-75% guy. I don't like clutter on a 2D screen. Then if I do see fish, I am pretty sure there is something there.

Side-scan: I have been matching my scroll speed to my GPS boat speed.
    3 mph = 3 scroll
    5 mph = 5 scroll

    etc.

Some lakes don't have Thermoclines. I ain't found one here. Ky is a pretty shallow lake.

You figure anything out on the ducer mount?

Lake Nimrod, Ar. Is a 3500 acre fairly shallow manmade lake. Flats average 5 to 6 feet and up to 9 or 10 feet deep. The river channel that snakes it's way across the lake averages about 30 to 35 feet deep.
I believe that I see a thermocline with my depthfinder at around 12 feet deep over the river channel. Since the flats do not reach these depths that is why I don't see a thermocline on the flats. Also minnows fished at say 16 feet deep in the summer time come up dead and rigid.
