    From Toledo Bend Texas!

I too sold my Bass Boat and bought a pontoon, but didn't like trolling with it at all. Loved nightstalking out of it though. However I troll a lot in the spring and fall so I got rid of my pontoon and got another boat, then it was too small. You would think I was tired of trading by then and I was.

So now this year I bought a crappie edition 1700 Explorer Lund with a 115 4 stroke and love the boat and will not ever need to trade it in for anything again. Now I have plenty of room (not as much as the pontoon) and can troll or nightstalk or any style fishing I want.

So in the end I am happy with a boat finally.

Hey Tooncrappie. I too retired back in 2000. I came out of retirement last year and re-retired this year. Time to go fishing! Welcome from Alabama.

    Welcome aboard from upstate NY.
Only time I get to toon fish is when we visit my sis-in-law, but it's great to have all that room.

As for retirement, I've got too many years yet before I can - so I don't want to think about it - it's depressing. One of our long time members - Cane Pole - is right on the cusp of retirement (last I looked, it said 2 days in his forum signature). Maybe you two retirees can get together and fill a cooler or two with slabs.

Anyhow, you've just started posting on the single best resource for crappie fishing in the world. Again, welcome aboard!
