Default How to tie loose transom mount transducer cable

This is what I use to tie a loose transducer cable. It helps keep it neat and close to the transom. They are called tie wrap (cable tie) mounts. They come in different sizes. The stick on, but I usually add a marine silicone around the edge of the mount. Nice and no drilling.

I haven't added it to my Tracker yet. I been changing too much around. I will do it sooner or later. Really makes for a neat install.

I looked around for that type of tie-down and could not find any. I ended up using "p"-type clamps when there was a screw available and common surface mount wire conduit on all other locations. I ran the conduit down the underside of the gunnels on both sides and on the transom.

I'm sure having a hard time finding these. Radio shack was out, lowes and home depot don't carry them. Auto zone, auto source, advance and nada. nothing. I'll try fry's when I get up that way. Might end up ordering them on line. They do look good

They work great. We use special versions them on our aircraft and spacecraft experiments all the time. Unfortunately, my connections to obtain a few of them for "harsh conditions field testing" all dried up after I moved from design engineering, assembly, and testing to system engineering.
