Hi, I'm a newbie here but been reading for a while. I'm going to be up at Honeoye in October and wondering how the panfish bit will be and any other info. you people are willing to share. Thanks in advance.
Welcome aboard from Central NY.
Things have been a bit slow around here the last few weeks - the water levels are all down and the water temps are all up. Finding fish is a real challenge.
I hit my favorite fishing hole Saturday and caught one 9" crappie in two hours - that's all.
By October, if it isn't snowing yet, the bite in upstate NY should be pretty good.
Fall crappie fishing is usually pretty good - they like to strap on the feed bag before the water turns hard.
Good luck!
