try thompson lake over by sturgis, be prepared for anything tho i've trolled a number of lures and caught every thing you can think of . just beware the land and surounding area is kind of shallow
If anyone knows about the fall fishing on the Coldwater chain of lakes, please email me, as we are planning on heading there in Sep. or October. I have heard the crappie fishing is real good that time of year, but I have never been there.
Thanks!

hey russ, when you do know what date you will be there you should let us know, I have only fished that chain once and that was in the summer, but I did manage a limit.i caught fish on the drops at the north west end of the last lake to the north, and got them pretty good in the smallest lake ,kinda in the middle, almost looked more like a pond. just pitching jigs.
wish I knew the name of the lakes better.most fish ran about 10inches.
hope this helps a little.
fillet em n fry em
