Default Johnson 35 hp wiring ?

1979 Johnson ele start. Has wire missing from a 3 wire connector. There are two orange wires coming from the power pack and go to the primary side of the ignition coils. The third wire is black and has been ripped out. I think it should go to the kill switch. I think pushing the kill button should put a ground on this wire (which goes to the power pack). Am I right here?

Last school project. Get to work on a boat. I find it very fitting. haha

Hey Tom. I don't have a schematic for that motor but I can tell you that the motor is shut off by applying a ground to the black/yellow wire that comes from the power pack.

That is it. Someone ripped the wiring out. Who knows. I got most of it rewired. Should fire up tomorrow. Thanks Bill.
