I have a few new colors of chenille and would like for anyone that has an opinion to tell me what color combo's they would like using these. Need head and tail color picks.

There is Dark brown, Coffee Brown, Peacock Green (Dark) & FLo Orange...

    Arrow Skip ....

you really can't go wrong with using Chartreuse, for either or both head/tail. :D

Just IMHO .. were I looking for jigs in these body colors : these are what I'd be looking for ---

For the two browns ... white head, chartreuse head, pink head -- orange tail, chartreuse tail, red tail (in combinations that mimic bugs or crawdads)

For the green - flo green head ... flo yellow or charteuse tails (sunfish pattern)

For the orange ... orange head, red head, chartresue head -- chartreuse tail, dark green tail, brown tail, white tail (totally unnatural and off the wall, for those fish that have seen it all :p )

This is just a "suggestion", for what it's worth ... and not an order :D (I'm going to have to live another 60yrs, just to use up all the jigs I already have ... LOL!!! )

    .... cp

    Skip,

I'd do a test of Brown and Orange and market it in the Cleveland area as a "Dawg Jig" for Walleye. They are fanatics up there for their team and will buy anything in team colors. Try that with some other NFL cities too. In fact, put me down for some "Dawg Jigs" Sight unseen. Send me a PM and I'll hook you up with Don Peterson who does supply 85% of the Walleye Charter captains in that area with tied lures.

As for being serious a really good combo would be the orange and the Chartreuse tail. In fact, you won't go wrong with any color for the tail as long as it's Chartreuse.

I'm telling you, the "Dawg Jigs" will probably sell. Send a few samples to the Browns. Here is the address.

One combination would be Red head, dark green body and chartruse tail. It is a hot spring time color for white bass in the sabine river. I tied this for my daughter last spring. She went White bass fly fishing with a Kayak fishing group, on the sabine. This combination caught more then any other color they tried.
