Default spent the last week trout fishing.. isnt exactly crappie but look at the scenery!

I went camping with my family this last week.. spent a lot of time fishing for trout. Everyone kept asking me what I was using to catch 'em and they had no idea what I was talking about when I told them I was using crappie jigs!.

I don't have any pictures of the fish I caught as I only kept 2 total and released all the rest but I have a really nice photo of the stream (north fork of the Stanislaus river in central eastern California)

Man I had a lot of fun.

Very nice pic, Jeff. Yep, jigs are a great bait for all kind of fish.

I'll have to agree with Darryl, jigs are one of the best all around baits. We use them when wading small streams in hot summer time also. The large Crappie Tubes we use are just right for Green Sunfish and smaller sized Bass.

    Default guilty too

I couldn't think of where to take my father last week for a guarantee'd trip. so we went trout fishing on the White river here in Arkansas. I love to just float down the river as far as I am comfortable that I have enough gas to get back. The only disappointment we had was that we still had half a tank left we we got back to the ramp.
I don't think I would float very far in your picture.

That is an awesome pic, just don't seem like there would be fish in there, but we don't have anything like that around here, so looks must be decieving. Thanks for the pic.

    Can't beat crappie jigs!!!

We were up in the Adirondacks a couple weeks ago - caught lots of crappie and LMB's on crappie tubes at the lake, but also took a couple day trips to a nearby stream (about the same size and type of scenery as the one in your photo Jeff) - my son got a 15" brookie on a crappie tube, along with lots of smallies, and I got a bunch of smallies and a couple walleye - all on crappie tubes!

crappie jigs are the ULTIMATE artificial lures!!!!!!!

That is pretty. Just being in a place like that takes the stress right out,
