Went Tuesday, Me and wife caught 27, fish were 7-12' in deep water.
We fished from 10:00 til 12:00. LOZ.

I'm new to this board, but night fishing for crappie is my vice.I love it.

This year the fish have moved more than normal. Keep trying different docks until you find them. Most fish have been suspended up shallow in deep water. I expect them to move deeper any time with the warmer water. I think all the water coming down out of Truman has changed things some this summer. The more current, the shallower the fish are. They usually bite harder with current.

You mentioned a bad night. If your not fishing on the Osage (main lake) a circumstance occurs where they are releasing water from Truman and holding at Bagnell. This creates a current running back up the Gravois,Glaize ETc arms of the lake. This almost always slows fishing and is more common later in the summer and late at night. Fish don't like the current going the wrong direction it seems. If you cast and notice water current going up the lake. Move down to the main part of the lake if thats a option if not move as far up your arm as possible and still stay in 20'+ of water.

That is a good point but that was'nt the trouble that night there has been virtualy no current on the glaize and at that point Bagnell was still dumpin a bunch....dont know enough about nightstalkin to know what went wrong but it was'nt an issue with current.

    F and m
i just stumbled accross your post,. This is our first year on truman and yeah, i really
enjoy night fishing, did it for a lot of years on stockton. If you are around
osage bluff starting in may and see an old beat up pontoon, stockton winds/tornado,
out at night, stop by and say hello. We will be lit up quite a bit, like to see what i am
    doing or missing.

    Have a good year
