Talking Lake Bonham TX this weekend...

The wife and I camped and fished at Bonham this weekend.
Caught a few Friday night (and a friend gave us a few, thanks T).
We filleted and ate those Friday night YUM.:D

I got up early yesterday and caught 23 keepers in about an hour and a half. The biggest was 1 pound 15 ounces.

It's already hot today so I mowed the yard and came in where it's cool to practices on some new jig/fly ideas. Here's my version of "Crappie Candy"

Note: the hook is also blue.

What kind of depth were you finding them in?

10 to 12 foot and they were right on the bottom.

I have been getting them right off the bottom in Hubbard.
I have been hitting them at 18' but that is just where the bottom is. I think if I was in 30', there they'd be.
I'll be stopping by Lake Bonham and Coffee Mill also this fall. I mix squirrell hunting and crappie fishing when I can.

    Nice catch. Thanks, Phill
