My family and I are planning a early Sept. trip to Kerr Lake. I'm not asking to give up your best bruch piles, but just some general information. At that time of the year will the crappie be in the main river channel or in the deep side creek channels? Does a thermocline form in this reservoir? How deep would it be this time of the year. Do the crappie relate to standing trees or stump fields this time of the year? Any help would be most appreciated. Jim from Pa.
Hey Wallrous. First of all welcome to Crappie.com. I haven't been over to the lake in Sept but we do have a couple resident experts her on the board (Fishdoc and Dave) so hopefully they will jump in here and give you some info. Meanwhile here is another site you can be watching. http://pub30.bravenet.com/forum/show...54406034&cpv=1
