I been checking out some of the stuff you guys are tying and I thought I might give it a try, again. (I used to dabble with it years ago when I was a kid.) Dug out my stuff and also ran across my Grandpas stuff that was given to me after he died several years ago. I had never went through it until now. Scissors, bobbins, etc. and a nice vise!!! All the materials are there too. Only problem is some of this stuff looks like it's too old to use. Most of the packages are from Herters if you older fellas remember them. How do you tell if the feather and materials are worth messin' with? As long as it don't fall apart use it?

If it looks good and like you said not falling apart I would use it. Some may be ready for the trash, but I would pitch out anything I may be able to use.

Hmmmm, maybe that is why I have so much stuff and pieces of stuff, LOL!

Don't throw it away. It may come in handy one day when you get back into it and get creative. I have some stuff that's over 40 years old that I still use.
