Default Holy Cow-Fishing with Roger Bacon on Sam Rayburn

We had a freaking blast!!!! Crappie Fishing is FUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!!
I will try to make this short and sweet. This trip started out as a birthday gift for my wife since she loves to fish. We got about thirty minutes away and she decided that she wanted the kiddos to come as well so we turned around and went back to Grandmas to get three of the four. (the littlest one, 2 1/2 stayed at home). If he would have come along, it would have been a nightmare, not to mention he would have torn something up on Rogers boat!

We ended up catching about 55 crappie and a mixture of catfish, bream and bass. I have about 8 or 9 bags stuffed full of of nice big crappie filets in the freezer. I have not cleaned that many fish in a long time, but boy are they going to be good!!!!

Two more things that made the trip worth a lifetime. My daughter caught her biggest fish so far with a bass that weighed 3lbs 13 ozs on the last brushpile we fished and my wife caught a huge white crappie that was 2lb 10oz and 16 1/2 inches long! It was a monster! Matter of fact, it is about 4 oz off of the lake record of 2lb 14 oz!! Roger helped us take measurements of it and we are getting a replica done for her. Hopefully she will let me hang it in the living room since she caught it and not make me put it in my office.

I can not say enough about Roger and Ronnie. I had never used any type of guide service before so the guided trip thing was all new to me. I depended alot on what others had said about them and boy did they shoot me straight. It was one the best times that we have had on a family outing. I am soooo glad that we ended up taking the kids because they had a blast. Roger and Ronnie were both so good with them. Not one time did they act beat down that the girls were playing with the minnows every other minute or that my son was asking a billion questions to Roger. He just sat up there and answered away while Ronnie kept watch on the girls to make sure they caught there share of the fish. You guys are greatness!! God bless you both!!

Thanks again guys for making it a trip to remember. I will defintiely be back for some bass/crappie combo fishing action in the Spring!!!

If you are looking for a fun time for the family, give these guys a call.

Here are some pics from the trip.

You should resize your pictures to about 640x480 pixles so they show good on the internet.

Looks like you and family had a great time!

That's what memories are made of. Cherish the moments and this joyous time. I cherish the emails and conversations I have had with Steve McCadams. He is always encouraging others.
