    Default Lakes around Waynesville,NC

    Hi Ya'll.
I live up in the great north (Indiana :p )
However, thoughts of North Carolina have been in my mind as my mother & sister live in Waynesville,NC.
So I basically came with a few questions.
1st: Anyone know of any good crappie lakes near or around Waynesville? Now that I'm posting this I know there's a Lake Junaluska nearby but what about others?
2nd: What are the winters like down there? Do the lakes freeze? If not I could see myself fishing all winter. I'm used to the cold. I could fish in 40 degree temps all year.
    Thanks for any help.
