    what is a good old time remedy for p-ivy,,my son was weed eating at work last week and is eat-up with the stuff,,,,went to the dr.and got the pills,but isnt there something that will work faster,,,,man is he looking tough---thanks fuzz

    I once had it from my waist down .I would scrub it with soap, then apply bleach on a wet rag. It will make him a man, but it killes it.

    This may relate to rdant's cure... I had it this spring bad. Not suure if it was poinson Ivy, oak or sumac.. but it was something! itched like heck and weaped all over the place. what finally made it start to feel and get better was to soak in a swimming pool.

    This worked for my cousin who had poison oak real bad, even on the pp.
    They took a cutting torch and just ran the oxygen over the rashes. Don't smoke if you do that inside... I have no idea why it worked, but it dried up his rash real quickly and started it healing.
    I have a jig with a face like this!:eek:

    seems like i seen somewhere where corn-starch will help dry it up too cant hurt to try

    scared me starting with the cutting torch..talk about extreme
    with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -

    I went to the Dr. (or should I say a walk in clinic) the other day for the first time in 13 years. I was ate up on the face w/ poison ivy. Both eyes swollen shut. Got a steroid shot and was back to normal in a day and a half.
    Swimming pools help a lil too.

    I just had poison ivy this year and the cream that gets rid of chicken pox. Also I used an anti ich lotion
