I've found them in the skin and in the rib cage and also around the gut sacks, I just cut around them.
Has any one found real small white worms just under the skin inside the filet when i slice into the meat they just pop out. I use to find them in green carp years ago. I don't think they hurt anything after they hit the hot oil.

The fish are still eatable almost all fish have them. when you cook the fish the worms die, they are no harm to you. I just try not to think about them when i eat. So no worries.
To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D
