Around here,back in the '60's I had a few friends that noodled for snappers. seems they dig in head first and you reach in and grab the front of the shell and pull them out. Personally I like to keep my fingers. :D :D

sure you know what you'll find...MOST Hand Grabbers (we don't call it noodling round here) uses boxes for the fish to spawn in. THEN they run a special rod into the box. Anyone with any experience can tell you what's in the box. An expert can tell you what species of catfish it is based upon how the rod slides over his body (how slimy he is will let you know if it's a blue or tabby for instance). He can tell you how many are in there, etc. Snakes and the like would be an easy quick meal for a 35 pound flattie.

NOW, anyone who just sticks their hand into a hole in the bank deserves anything that happens to him/her/it...
