    Default High Water Slabs!

Wife and I went out about 5:30 this evening to try to locate some fish for tomorrow. We vertical jigged some deep brushpiles and had to fish 13 feet deep to reach the brushpiles. we kept about 5 is all but they were nice ones.

Man nice slab - wherever it is that your fishing, it sure has some beautiful whites in it.

David ,you need to get at bigger camera so you can take picture of more than one fish at a time.:D
I went out to check the fish this morning for a short while. I have only one brushpile located in less than 10' of water. First 5 times I dropped in the jig , pulled out 4 nice Crappie. Fished longer and pulled one loose at the boat. I could'nt seem to get my normal hot spots to produce . But they are too deep I guess. Did'nt go east but stayed in Carter Cove. I gave the 5 keepers to a camper I know and showed him the spot.
I had a bunch located last Tuesday ,but they seemed to have left. Did'nt check the Cats again as they did'nt bite Friday. The Bass fishermen are catching on top water baits in the backwater early mornings.

Almost all of my spots right now are too deep to fish with all this extra water that we have. I've got to make some real shallow places for times like this.
