My wife and I got caught on Atwood in a storm like that on our pontoon about 10 years ago. It was a very scary situation. My wife won't go out on a lake now if there is any chance of rain or if the sky looks funny. Me, I'm not as smart as her.

Anybody else get stuck on the water in that crazy storm that hit East Fork Lake this past Sunday? I don't remember ever being caught out in anything quite like it. Didn't know that lake could roll like that! It went from just ordinary pleasure boat chop, to typhoon, and back to glass all in about 20 minutes time. I think it's the first time I've actually been uncomfortable on the water.

Hey SpeckWick , you catching anything in Eastfork ? We thought about coming up this weekend to get away from the river. I have been out on the Ohio river and soaked before.

Sunday was the first time I have ever been scared of a boat sinking... It was rough.

Hey kycreekboy, it's tough on EF right now. Gotta get 'em early if your gonna get 'em. Some guys are still doing pretty well, but most are having trouble finding much consistent size. The lake is way down for this time of year. You can easily walk out to the island on the Afton side without any chance of even getting your feet wet. Looks more like winter lake level than July.

Well I guess I will wait till it cools off before I make the trip up there. As it is a 1 hour drive. The fishing is really tough down here also.
